What's good: The much anticipated sequel to InMotion Software's popular game I Dig It is finally here! I Dig It Expeditions built on everything that we loved about the first title and makes it infinitely better. To reacquaint fans and introduce the game to new players, Farmer Lewis brings you back to his farm to work his digging machine for a quick tutorial. After a final run through his lands, you'll unlock one of three gorgeous new adventure zones to start you off on your epic treasure hunt around the world. Discover artifacts buried in the depths of pristine ice lands, lush Amazonian outskirts, and vast oceans. Each location holds its own unique array of valuable diggins, as well harmful elements that you have to avoid at all cost! Equipped with a map and explosive supplies purchased from the shop, plot a strategic course through the soil and dig you way to unexpected finds - apart from crystals and jewels, relics and fossils, there are also a jumble of junk items, random space and pirate loot, and developer heads (yes, you read that correctly), all cleverly hidden beneath piles of rock and earth. Sell the items you uncover to earn cash for machine upgrades - a tougher hull or drill, more powerful coolant, bigger cargo or fuel capacity, and wider underground radar can help you cover greater distances and find increasingly rare collections. On top of this exciting story-based quest, you can also opt for freeplay mode, perhaps to familiarize yourself with the different maps and new features. Conversely, if you feel like something more hardcore, try playing the money and points challenges and see if you have the navigational skills of a true explorer. The staggering amount of gameplay content and the flawless execution of every little detail speak for themselves - the developers have truly outdone themselves with this gem of an app!
Suggestions for improvement: High scores, online achievements, and co-op play in a multiplayer mode would be fantastic additions to this game!
