What's good: Most of the time, when people hear that a new block breaker has just come out on the AppStore, their initial reactions verge on indifference. There have been so many renditions of what has become a classic game today that the novelty has almost entirely worn off by now. This is indisputable, but so is the fact that Digital Chocolate continuously upholds its reputation for publishing fresh and addicting titles for the iPhone. Working their magic once again, they've managed to take an old idea, give it an explosive new spin, and put it out on iTunes as 3D Brick Breaker Revolution 2. A breakout-style game at its core, it employs the very same gameplay basics: move your paddle left and right to catch your ball and bounce it back towards the bricks you still need to destroy. There is, however, a long list of things that sets this one apart from similar titles, the first and most obvious being the breathtaking 3D graphics and fluid animations in dynamic neon colors, as well as the rocking sounds that perfectly complement and boost the excitement. It only gets better from there, because as you play the game you'll encounter some really interesting and innovative features. In Classic Mode, there are ninety-nine levels of excellently laid out brick patters with moving, rotating, and even flipping pieces of either breakable or unbreakable material. When you hit certain blocks, power-ups will drop from the top of the screen - these include Electrified, Extra Paddle, Smart Bomb, Big Ball, Rockets, Laser Cannons, Extra Life, and other helpful packages and destructive weapons. On the other hand, you sometimes get harmful 'gifts' that might reduce the size of your paddle, cause interference, or throw decoy balls onto the screen for added confusion. Try to avoid these if you can, but in the event that you accidentally catch one, just keep your eye on the ball and your fingers steady. For every successfully completed twenty levels, you'll enter into an intense boss battle that tests your reflexes and survival skills and which serves to ready you to launch into another (more difficult) string of heart-pumping block smashing action. After all of that, if you still feel like taking on more of a challenge, you can try to survive Revolution Mode's infinite randomly generated levels, adaptive difficuties, and crazy bosses. You'll be holding your breath and gripping your device as you try to earn high scores and unlock achievements in this truly unique and electrifying title that for $ 2.99 is most definitely a steal. Go ahead and click on 'Buy Now' in the AppStore - we can guarantee that you won't regret this purchase!

Suggestions for improvement: If bosses behaved in a more life-like manner - for example, were bricks in boss levels to move and form some sort of animated being that could swoop down on your paddle - that would be certainly be something refreshingly different. Apart from that, we hope to see difficulty modes since some levels are really a bit too easy at times.
