What's good: Valentine's Day may be long over, but the season for making out is still whenever you feel like it, so get back in the mood and have a little fun with Makeout Mania, a colorful and cute casual game that's sure to keep a silly smile on your face whenever you play it. In this fast-paced puzzler, you play none other than Cupid, and you're goal is to tighten your bow strings and let loose a series of deadly arrows in the direction of the bored students walking the hallways of high school. Whenever your point finds its way to someone's heart, that person will go into a Kissing Frenzy and will consequently go into an insane run up and down the hall with oversized hearts in his eyes and an overpowering desire to kiss whoever he comes in contact with. Although you get points for every successful smooch, you'll earn a lot more if you are able to create a perfect match (for example, the jock and the cheerleader both have crushes on each other and are dying for you to help them get together). On the other hand, a huge one-eyed principal and humorless history teacher patrol the corridors at times, and they will definitely put a stop to your crazy sessions when they manage to catch you at it. Use a variety of techniques - such as opening and closing doors that lead to other floors, waiting for the right time to strike (such as when monitors take a bathroom break or are far away enough), and making strategic use of the precious few Kissing Frenzy seconds - to outsmart the adults, create combos, and earn enough to fill the makeout meter at the top and move on to the next and even trickier level. With over twenty five stages, a Mania Mode where you get as high a score as you possibly can within a sixty-second time limit, and tons of achievements and challenges to unlock and accept over the Plus+ social gaming network, this highly entertaining and easy to pick up title will definitely delight the iPhone's pool of casual gamers. What's more, the concept and animations are simply hilarious, and at a mere $ 0.99, we promise you won't regret pressing the 'buy' button. Who knows, you might just fall in love (but don't say we didn't warn you!)
Suggestions for improvement: Makeout Mania is really fun for a casual game, but we would have liked to see difficulty modes and extra gameplay features since the game tends to become a bit repetitive after a while. Surprises are always good - collectible items or power-ups that randomly appear would make great update ideas!
