What's good: At first glance, Wordsworth reminded us of Scramble by Zynga. Of course, knowing 99 Games, we expected a lot more - and that's exactly what we got. You'll start off with pretty basic gameplay that involves sliding your finger across adjacent letters in hexagonal tiles to chain them together into valid words that meet the length requirement for each level. It quickly evolves into something much more complicated, though, as additional elements tumble into the mix. Among some of the things you'll encounter are colored tiles - red ones are timed and will mean game over if you don't use it before the time runs out, blue ones are wildcards that can substitute for any letter, green and gold ones give you extra points for correct words. When things get too hard, you can scramble the letters at the cost of one red tile; otherwise, you can also try to earn time gainers, defusers, and auto-shuffle tiles that will help you get further in the game. Figure out the best combinations of rewards and power-ups to gain the top rung in the word ladder! Depending on your mood, you can either play a few casual games in relaxed mode, or get into some fast-paced action with timed mode. Furthermore, extensive customization options that include grid size, dictionary type, and word length make it possible to personalize the game to suit anyone's level of difficulty, so that word novices and whizzes alike can enjoy an app that makes for a strong contender in the ever-expanding genre of word games.
Suggestions for improvement: Although the simplicity of the game's presentation in terms of graphics and sound is appealing in its way, it could use a little more detail.
