What's good: The latest in Digital Chocolate's line of hugely popular and innovative Rollercoaster Rush series, New York 3D Rollercoaster Rush takes things to an even greater extreme with features like insanely terrifying stunts and new hurdles to overcome! If you've played their previously released rollercoaster titles, you'll know that learning to play is as easy as 1 2 3. Simply slide your finger forward and backward to speed up or slow down the carts as they move along the rails, or if you prefer a more intuitive way, tilt your iPhone left to brake and right to accelerate. One you get the controls down, you're all set to go for the craziest ride of your life - this time, you're not going to be careening through dinosaur filled lands before time or spooky Halloween-themed settings. Instead, you'll take your wildest trip yet - over, around, and through the landmarks and skyscrapers of New York City recreated in miniature. Each level features abruptly twisting turns and gut-wrenching sharp drops, horrifying breakable tracks and missing rails, and heart-rending loop-de-loops in progressively more dangerous arrangements. Your task is to give your passengers the fastest and most exciting experience that you can while keeping carts safely balanced to avoid catastrophic falls, which is in fact not a very easy thing to manage. The happier your customers are, the higher your meter goes, boosting your chances of earning stars (a maximum of three per round) to unlock the next and even more insanely frightening track. Apart from that, pull off daring stunts like Extreme Air or Crushing G's for big score bonuses and speed through the forty excellently designed levels in both Career and Challenge Modes. You can even race against a friend over Bluetooth to find out if you are match enough for your opponent's mastery of coaster physics and sharp maneuvers. The game creates a whole new level of thrilling that's interwoven into stunning 3D graphics; in other words, this fantastic title will surely take your breath away!
Suggestions for improvement: We kind of wish there were more to do than just running your carts on the tracks. The game is amazing as it is, but if there were things to collect or power-ups to be had it would really up the gameplay a notch!
